Emmelie is a Junior Health Advisor at the Institute with a background in International Business and a strong interest in the healthcare sector. In her academic work, she has specialized in the strategic implications of geopolitical developments for life science companies, with a particular focus on internationalization strategy and global value chains.
She is especially interested in the intersection of business development and public health, and how demographic change, digitalization, and cross-border collaboration can contribute to building more resilient and integrated healthcare systems. This interest was further deepened during her time in Poland, where she worked in the health team at the Royal Danish Embassy, supporting efforts to address structural challenges in the Polish healthcare system through Danish solutions.

As an intern at the Royal Danish Embassy in Poland, Emmelie worked within the Economic Diplomacy department with a focus on healthcare. She played a key role in organizing Polish healthcare delegations and export initiatives in Poland, and supported both SMEs and large companies in strengthening their market position. Her work involved strategic stakeholder engagement with key opinion leaders, policymakers, and public sector decision-makers.
Emmelie loves sailing and was on the Danish national team in her early teens. After stepping away from competitive sailing, she spent nearly 10 years coaching the next generation of sailors.
