As the world prepares to adopt the 2025 UN Political Declaration on Noncommunicable Diseases, the real challenge begins: Translating bold commitments into real-world impact.

At this critical moment in time for respiratory health, we cannot afford to fail. The global respiratory health community, including clinicians, policymakers, public health experts, and civil society, must move from statements to action. It is time to collaborate globally to build a clear roadmap that translates high-level political commitments into concrete, coordinated, and context-specific implementation strategies.

Format

Join us for an interactive panel where high-level speakers - experts in pulmonology, policy, patient advocacy, and primary care - will use foresight methodology to outline concrete actions for advancing respiratory health in line with the UN Declaration.

Together with the audience, the panel will examine how to put these actions into practice at every stage of respiratory care, from prevention to treatment and management.

The debate will be moderated by Bogi Eliasen, Fellow at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS) and Director of the Movement Health Foundation.
