Dr. Morten Grønborg is the initiator of the Big History Project, facilitated by CIFS. The project aims to establish a Center for Big History with the mission to formulate and promote the scientific origin story from the beginning of spacetime to the present day. The purpose is to increase the public understanding of the connection between the cosmos, our planet, and the human culture.
Morten Grønborg holds a PhD in philosophy and theory of science. He specializes in natural philosophy and development patterns on a large-scale level. Prior to his work with the Big History project, he was the Editor-in-chief of SCENARIO Magazine, the Institute's international print magazine (now Farsight), from 2009 to 2022. The magazine received several awards and distinctions, including the Danish Anders Bording prize. Morten received an Award of Excellence from The Society of News Design in 2014 and was nominated as Editor of the Year at the British STACK Awards in 2017.
