Monika Volgyi

Monika is a Foresight Advisor who works across sectors on futures thinking and long-term strategy, with a particular passion for the future of tourism and culture. She is drawn to the intersection of foresight and the forces reshaping how we travel, explore, and experience the world - and what it takes for destinations and organisations to stay meaningfully relevant in a rapidly changing landscape.

Her work in tourism & travelling includes keynotes in Europe and the US, university foresight training for tourism & hospitality students and a published article on sustainable tourism futures. She believes foresight is not just about anticipating change, but about making decisions that resonate more deeply with the needs of a diverse and evolving society.

Originally from Hungary, Monika holds an MSc in International Economic Consulting from Aarhus University in Denmark.

Since joining CIFS, she has worked across sectors helping organisations build the skills and perspectives needed to navigate long-term developments, delivering presentations, trainings, and workshops globally - from small and medium-sized enterprises to large, multinational organisations.

For several years she also served as operational lead for CIFS' course offerings, an experience that helped her develop strong expertise in foresight methodologies and a genuine passion for making futures thinking accessible and actionable for others.

She speaks English, Hungarian, and Danish fluently, and has a functional understanding of German and Spanish.
